
Altea with blue tiled roof–tops, white-washed houses and narrow cobbled streets, typifies a quaint Spanish village. In the main square we discover the 400+ year old Church, the“ Virgen del Consuelo”. It is here you will find a fabulous ‘viewpoint’ offering superb panoramic views of the sea and mountains.
Following our presentation of our therapeutic sleep system in the village of Polop, we begin our memorable trip to Altea's famous old town. As we wander through the maze of narrow cobble stoned streets you will feel as if you are wandering back through time. The whitewashed houses with their wrought iron balconies endowed with colourful flowers give this town a unique bohemian charm. You will have the chance to visit some of Altea's many small art galleries and shop to your hearts content in the stylish hand craft shops.
As we reach the bustling Church square you will see the impressive 'Church of Our Lady of Solace'. Its spectacular blue domed roof and white ceramic tiles entice you to go inside, here you will see glorious gold leaf and stained glass windows that the light comes flooding through. You will find lots of quality cafés and restaurants and a look out point that boasts views from Calpe's famous Peñon de Ifach all the way to Benidorm. It is here you will have the opportunity to sit back and admire the beautiful views.
From Altea we make our way to a bodega in the town of Alfaz Del Pi. Here you have the opportunity to sample some of the regions famous Muscatel wine, chocolates and sausages. This bodega visit enables you to purchase spirits and liquors, among many other things, at competitive prices.
